There are a number of species of bright red waxcap growing in grassy places in the UK. I'm guessing these ones might be Hygrocybe splendidissima on the basis of their large size and the twisted, irregular-shaped stipe.

Here is a pleasing fungus beetle Erotylus Spp? having a lovely time on some Pycnoporus sanguineus fruiting bodies in the Bolivian cloud forest.
Here is a pleasing fungus beetle Erotylus Spp? having a lovely time on some Pycnoporus sanguineus fruiting bodies in the Bolivian cloud forest.
The pleasing fungus beetles - Erotylidae - is a large family of beetles. Many of which - though by no means all of them - feed on fungi.
